About The Role
As a
Senior Accountant
, you will help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of corporate financial data. You will be responsible for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and oversight of accounting outcomes produced by other teams. We are looking for accounting knowledge, the ability to coordinate across multiple remote internal partners, and responsibility for period‑end close processes to deliver accurate financial information.

This is a hybrid role based in Monfalcone, Italy, with a requirement to work onsite 2 to 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and company accounting policies in all journal booking activities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual GL journal entries and support month‑end close processes to ensure all required entries are posted accurately
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams
Oversee financial accounting outcomes of business processes performed by other teams, including Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, consumable inventories, HR payables, and intercompany invoicing
Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory and statistical reporting, including Intrastat, Istat, Banca d'Italia, and related requirements
Support Global Treasury activities, including bank reconciliations and weekly and month‑end cash forecasting
Support Global Tax by providing requested financial information
Support the statutory financial statements preparation process and support internal and external audits
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses
Coordinate with shared services, global finance teams, and remote partners to resolve accounting issues and ensure smooth financial close
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (Laurea Triennale) in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
5 to 7+ xlwpduy years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Italian Chartered Accountant preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Experience within global organizations, including standardized financial processes and interaction with shared services and business unit finance teams
Experience with Italian GAAP, project accounting, and revenue recognition under percentage of completion is a plus
Experience operating in a non‑transactional oversight role, ensuring accuracy and completeness of activities performed by others
Fluent in Italian and advanced English proficiency (C1)
