Our client, a leading player in the industrial raw materials sector and headquartered in the heart of Genoa, is looking for a Strategic Planner & Controller to join its Strategic Planning & Business Excellence Department.
In this highly visible role, you will actively support the business planning and control cycle, provide performance insights, monitor key efficiency indicators, and deliver data-driven analyses to guide strategic decisions.
You will be part of a dynamic, ambitious, and internationally oriented team committed to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across Sales, Purchasing, and Operations, contributing to all planning cycles (annual, rolling, monthly, and weekly).
* Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to understand performance drivers and develop improvement initiatives.
* Define, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Prepare periodic management reports and strategic presentations for senior leadership.
* Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic evaluations and business decisions.
* Work cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
* Develop business cases and run financial/operational simulations.
* Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Requirements
* Master’s degree (preferably with honors) in Economics, Management Engineering, or Business Administration.
* 3/5 years of experience in similar positions, within structured and multinational environments.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
* Strong command of Power BI and SAP.
* Advanced proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actions.
* Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
* Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
