Description On behalf of an important reality that operates in the space field, we are looking for a User Ground Segment System Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Definition and justification of User Ground Segment architecture, from concept to detailed design phase.
* Definition and control of User Ground Segment technical interfaces, internal and external.
* Definition and control of User Ground Segment software technical budget and margins.
* Analysis of the Qualification data package provided by the UGS SW supplier.
* Support to the GS AIV team for the UGS Integration activities.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree or comparable in Computer Engineering.
* Professional experience of at least five years in Ground Segment engineering projects for space systems, in Phase C/D as mandatory.
* Professional experience of at least five years in definition and design of S/S for EO systems for institutional and/or commercial customers.
* Strong competences in virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g. VMWare), including database virtualization.
* Knowledge of secure network architectures, vulnerability testing, threat modeling.
* Experience in the definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of DOORS.
* Proven capability to define G/S design throughout the support of model-based methods, techniques and tools (e.g. SysML, UML).
* Sound knowledge of ground system engineering processes, and ground system software life cycles.
* Knowledge of relevant ECSS standards.
* Fluency in both spoken and written (Business) English; Italian skills are desirable.
