The Life Sciences Sales Consultant is responsible for supporting Outside Sales by identifying the best solutions to meet customer needs. He serves as the primary contact for Italian customers, responsible for issuing proposals (with support from Cluj and Pune Hubs) that adhere to high standards of quality and responsiveness, ensuring clear, competent, and accessible communication channels with customers. Specific Job Responsibilities Ownership of proposals from design to cost estimation and audit, ensuring customer quotations are technically accurate, timely, and commercially verified. Provide advice on technical solutions and their benefits as a Solutions Architect. Discuss and clarify customer requirements versus offered scope to improve solution quality and fit. Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations that offer comprehensive solutions. Manage estimates for materials, services, and other costs, including proposal strategy and DOA costing. Follow up on quotations with customers and internal teams as agreed with Outside Sales. Ensure high-quality information transfer between Sales and Project Execution upon receiving customer purchase orders; update and close quotations in relevant systems. Participate in kick-off and review meetings to clarify scope, technical details, and strategy. Maintain high product and process knowledge through relevant training, including new product releases. Comply with local and international trade and quality procedures, as well as ethics policies. Perform other duties as reasonably required. Required Qualifications and Experience Mandatory DCS background. Knowledge of the Life Sciences industry is a plus but not essential. Degree in Engineering or related field (electronic, electrical, energy, automation) preferred. Proven experience in proactive selling. Ability to understand customer needs and develop technical requirements. Experience working within a complex matrix organization. At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Fluent in Italian and English (verbal, reading, writing). Willing to travel and spend approximately 20% of time at customer sites. Additional European language skills are beneficial.
