They boast an 8.8GW BESS pipeline, with over 4GW entering construction. In order to take their Italian pipeline to the next stage, they require a Senior Project Engineer to support in the delivery of utility-scale BESS projects.With a strong pipeline of projects in operation, construction, and development, my client takes a long-term ownership approach — remaining closely involved from early-stage development through to commissioning and asset optimisation.This is a hands-on engineering role within a lean, high-calibre team delivering complex infrastructure at pace.The OpportunityYou will support the technical delivery of battery storage projects across Italy, working across development, construction, and commissioning phases. The role requires close collaboration with EPC contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.The position would suit an engineer who is comfortable taking ownership and working across disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee technical coordination of BESS projects through delivery phasesReview and challenge engineering designs and technical documentationSupport grid compliance and permitting processesMonitor construction progress, quality standards, and HSE compliance on siteContribute to procurement activities and technical risk reviewsAct as a technical interface between contractors, suppliers, and internal teamsAbout YouDegree-qualified engineer (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Energy or similar)Experience within renewable energy or infrastructure projects (BESS advantageous)Understanding of HV/MV systems and grid connection requirements, or civil works within energy projectsConfident working with engineering drawings and site teamsFluent Italian and strong English communication skillsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving environmentPlease reach out if this opportunity is of interest and suits your experience.
