What you'll do
You will play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of robust security measures to safeguard the organization's sensitive data.
This role is fundamental in ensuring compliance, minimizing risks, and maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the company's digital infrastructure.
Main responsibilities
Data Classification & Inventory: Identify, tag, and catalog sensitive and confidential data by type.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement tools and policies designed to prevent unauthorized data leaks or exfiltration.
Encryption Standards & Key Management: Define and enforce encryption protocols for data in transit and at rest, including key management systems (KMS) and hardware security modules (HSM).
Data Access Controls: Govern and monitor access to sensitive data to ensure compliance and security.
Data Retention & Destruction Policies: Define secure rules and procedures for retaining, archiving, and deleting data.
Secure Data Sharing & Third-Party Transfers: Ensure that data shared externally is adequately protected through contracts, encryption, and restrictions.
Monitoring & Alerting for Sensitive Data: Track data flows and detect anomalies using tools such as SIEM/DLP while defining use cases.
Support for Privacy Regulations(e.g., GDPR, CCPA): Implement controls to ensure lawful data processing and support subject rights.
What you'll bring
At least 5 years of proven experience in data security management, data classification, data governance, information security, data loss prevention, encryption, anonymization, and data masking.
A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Previous expertise in managing security frameworks such as ISO *****, NIST, CIS, or similar standards, ideally in a leadership or managerial role.
Solid knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), security technologies (e.g., DLP, HSM, encryption, secret management), and risk management frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud security solutions (e.g., Oracle, Azure), network protocols, and security architecture.
Ability to design and implement security policies, manage security projects, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are considered a plus.
Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
