WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Software Developer - Space Missions
Join our client’s team in Rome as a Software Developer - Space Missions.
YOUR TASKS
1. Overseeing the processes of harvesting, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data aggregation within the data warehouse system.
2. Conducting data mining and analysis to identify and address functional anomalies in the system.
3. Providing support for converting satellite data to the EO-SIP format by developing new converters.
4. Updating existing converters to ensure compatibility and functionality with current requirements.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5. Secondary school diploma (or higher)
6. Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience
7. Design and development of interfaces between multi-systems
8. Experience in programming in various languages (PL / PostgreSQL, Java and / or Python)
9. Experience in writing complex queries in SQL
10. Data processing and transformation
11. Good written and oral command of English (B1 or higher)
Nice to have :
12. Linux O.S. and native shell scripting
13. Business Intelligence procedures, data presentation tools and techniques (e.g. Tableau or similar BI tools)
14. ETL procedures
15. Nagios or similar monitoring tools
16. Troubleshoot and upgrade of existing software
17. XML / XSD
18. EO data products
Personal Skills :
19. Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution
20. Responsible and success-oriented
21. Very good customer liaison capability and team-player spirit
22. Sharp and curious mind
23. Availability to travel within Europe to attend meetings
