We have a special opportunity for you to learn and support our Pilots to become one As CAE’s Simulator Technician Internship, you will join our experienced team based in Sesto Calende, in Lombardy - Italy, working on advanced level simulators that are preparing the new generation of pilots, but also keep updated the more expert one. Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training center, your role will be varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge and learn your future career from zero. It is a 24/7 operation; the shift pattern will be 4 Days On & 4 Days Off, alternating Days and Nights Shifts. Schedule: 4 Days Shift 4 Days Off 4 Nights Shift 4 Days Off and then repeats. Day Shift: 07:00 – 19:00 (11 paid hours 1 hour unpaid lunch) Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:00 (11 paid hours 1 hour unpaid dinner) Lunch or Dinner on duty will be offered from the Company at the Internal Canteen. In this role, the Internship Simulator Technician will learn how our Expert Technicians work: Responsibilities Prepare the Simulation Training Equipment for daily operation for each training device, based on the published monthly schedules. Load appropriate exercise scenarios and other tasks required to prepare for specific training sessions, and complete Journey Logs at the start and finish of scheduled sessions. Receive training and perform easy assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory. Some projects may be of experimental or design nature. Solve a variety of complex simulator and / or aircraft systems problems. And you will learn and test how to do it yourself as well. Your knowledge will start at a completely unexperienced level, and you will be able to: Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems. Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated systems. Utilize a maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. Help in completing all designated training activities. Assist to perform pre-flight and post-flight operations on designated simulators. Perform basic visual alignments. Help in running automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG). Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications. Learn and comply with CAE quality management system. Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner. Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required. Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing / validation. Perform administrative tasks as required. Perform tasks to support the technical services group as required. Qualifications Our ideal candidate has: Diploma in Electronics / Mechatronics / Aeronautics / Mechanics (Diploma is mandatory; hands-on technical experience is preferred if no relevant educational background). Willingness to work flexible shifts. Basic ability to interpret system prints and schematics. Some idea of how to prepare operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.). Basic knowledge in analogue and digital theory. Computer literacy (PC and / or system architecture). Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Fluency in English and / or Italian. Durante il tirocinio / apprendistato imparerai come i nostri tecnici esperti : Preparano l’attrezzatura di simulazione per le operazioni quotidiane, secondo i programmi mensili. Caricano gli scenari di esercitazione e completano i registri di bordo all’inizio e alla fine delle sessioni. Ricevono formazione e svolgono compiti semplici in ufficio, sul campo e in laboratorio. Partecipano a progetti sperimentali o di progettazione. Risolvono problemi complessi relativi ai simulatori o ai sistemi aeronautici. E imparerai a farlo anche tu! Competenze che svilupperai : Manutenzione preventiva dei simulatori e dei sistemi associati. Diagnosi e risoluzione dei problemi tecnici. Utilizzo del sistema di gestione della manutenzione. Supporto nelle attività di formazione. Operazioni pre e post volo sui simulatori. Allineamenti visivi di base. Esecuzione di test automatici (QTG). Supporto in modifiche hardware e ristrutturazioni. Conformità al sistema di gestione della qualità CAE. Supporto al cliente e gestione delle richieste. Pulizia e manutenzione dei simulatori. Gestione logistica (ricezione pezzi, riparazioni, test).
