A Day in the Life Join Medtronic in supporting business units by delivering high-quality, efficient services that enhance clinical operations and contribute to global medical device approval strategies, helping bring innovative products to market. In the role of Associate Clinical Business Intelligence Specialist within the MCRS Biostatistics and Clinical Intelligence team, the primary focus is on developing reports and business intelligence solutions to support the conduct of clinical trials. This role involves close collaboration with team members to ensure services meet expected standards for quality, accuracy, and availability, aligned with stakeholder needs.

The Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) function provides global support for clinical studies across all business units. Within this group, the Biostatistics and Clinical Intelligence team offers end-to-end services in solution development, statistical programming, and technical support. As an Associate Clinical Business Intelligence Specialist, the position plays a key role in advancing clinical trial operations and supporting strategic product development through data-driven insights and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

* Develop and execute clinical data and operational reports with precision and attention to detail
* Collaborate with Clinical Data Specialists, Clinical Safety Specialists, Statistical Programmers, and cross-functional teams
* Design, develop, and test clinical reports, system interfaces, and clinical data transfers under supervision
* Apply industry standards to define and implement reporting methodologies
* Support team members in planning and implementing clinical reporting solutions
* Provide technical consultation and guidance to vendors and project teams
* Thoroughly review and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and quality requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biomedical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
* 0-2 years of relevant work experience
* Proficiency in relational databases, with strong skills in: Microsoft SQL Server, SQL programming and Reporting tools (SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI)
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities
* Customer-centric approach
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Excellent English language proficiency

It is beneficial to have familiarity with ICH, GCP, and FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11, as well as a basic to intermediate understanding of programming languages such as Python, .NET, C#, Java, R, or SAS. Additionally, a solid grasp of the systems development lifecycle would further support success in this role.
