ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Packaging & racks specialist design and develop packaging concepts and returnable racks aligned with IVECO Group standards, ensuring component protection and integrity throughout the global supply chain.
MAIN ACTIVITIES Develop packaging concepts and returnable racks for new components, using IVECO Group standards and technical specifications. Design protective elements and rack layouts to ensure safe transportation and handling. Produce technical drawings, 2D/3D layouts, and documentation to support procurement and supplier validation. Lead packaging validation during new model launches and engineering changes (ECOs). Ensure ergonomic compliance, line‑side feasibility, and compatibility with plant handling equipment. Contribute to logistics footprint optimization and containerization strategies Align packaging solutions with product characteristics and assembly requirements. Collaborate with Purchasing for supplier sourcing, cost negotiations, and RFQ technical support. Support Quality and Plants in addressing packaging‑related non‑conformities or handling issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing Language skills: English (written and spoken) Experience in packaging engineering, logistics design, material handling, or automotive supply chain. Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g.CATIA/MATRIX). Understanding of lean logistics principles Ability to work in team with accountability and leadership Availability to travel
