Senior Application Specialist

Cadmatic is a leading developer of digital and intelligent 3D-based design, engineering, and information management software solutions for the marine, process, and construction industries. We are now looking for a Senior Application Specialist to strengthen our Aftersales team in Italy.

The Senior Application Specialist is a senior‑level technical expert who plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment, training, integration, and ongoing use of Cadmatic software. This role involves providing advanced technical support, successful demonstration, implementation, integration, and mentoring Junior Specialists and Application Specialist. You will also drive strategic initiatives that enhance customer success and promote software adoption.

Senior Application Specialist also contributes to product development and helps shape Cadmatic’s software roadmap by providing key insights from customer interactions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and collaborate closely with internal teams to share knowledge and improve processes. In addition, this position works in partnership with the Sales team to prepare technical proposals and evaluate application architecture solutions for potential clients.

Your software responsibilities will focus on information management, and you will follow an interesting product called Cadmatic Projects — a project management solution integrated with Oracle Primavera and Microsoft Project, designed to support and monitor the entire project progress lifecycle.

We are flexible with locations; you can work from our Piacenza offices or remotely from your home office. You will report to our Technical Manager of the Aftersales Team, Oscar Bergonzi.

Your key responsibilities on Cadmatic Projects are:

Act as the primary technical consultant for customers, understanding their requirements, tackling, or ensuring that their needs are communicated effectively to the relevant Cadmatic departments.

Provide high‑level support to key customers, including large‑scale or complex projects that require troubleshooting technical issues or advance customization related to software.

Act as a subject matter expert to ensure users are maximizing the effective utilization of the software.

Cooperate with the Technical Manager and Customer Success members to ensure that clients are satisfied with the product and that their needs are being met. This includes monitoring client satisfaction, providing strategic advice, offering guidance within customer workflows, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring clients are getting the most out of the product.

Design and deliver comprehensive, advanced‑level training programs. You will mentor Junior Application Specialists and Application Specialist providing guidance on complex technical issues or client requests.

Work as a key contributor to the product Development team by identifying customer needs, gathering advanced feedback, and shaping product development priorities. You will ensure client challenges and market trends are reflected in the software roadmap.

Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key clients, ensuring high satisfaction and proactive engagement to resolve potential issues before they accelerate.

Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process. This includes supporting in creating marketing materials, participating in sales meetings, and providing advanced demonstrations of the products.

Design and implement highly customized solutions, including advanced configurations, and third‑party software integrations to meet specific client needs.

Monitor project and customer case risks, elevate issues to management when needed, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Develop prototypes or Proof‑of‑Concepts (POC) that evolve into real‑world solutions for client use cases.

Support and coordination for test activities cooperating with the product creation team.

Provide high‑level project services to customers using Cadmatic solutions including DB administration, managing technical aspects, and planning activities.

We expect you to have:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.

5+ years of professional experience with strong technical expertise in relevant areas of technology and software, services, solution consulting, and customer success. Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction and deliver business value.

Experience of Primavera P6 and Microsoft projects, planning complex and large CPM projects, structuring the Overall Project Weighting System, and evaluating the Schedule Quality.

Strong problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to analyze workflows and suggest optimizations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Experience in customer service or client‑facing roles. Ability to manage relationships and build trust with customers.

Advance project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and projects simultaneously.

Extensive experience in Microsoft Office 365 Suite is preferred.
