Overview Delivery Lead - Banking & Insurance at Avanade. Lead with excellence and a collaborative spirit to drive client satisfaction and project success. What You’ll Do Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintain strong, long-lasting relationships, understand client needs, and ensure these are effectively communicated to the delivery team. Regularly update clients on project progress, manage expectations, and address issues promptly. Collaborate with Sales Accounts to develop the business on the client. Project Delivery: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, manage the delivery schedule, and monitor project performance with appropriate tools, reporting on progress and adjustments as needed. Team Leadership: Oversee a team of project managers, coordinators, and delivery staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, performance feedback, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Manage multiple projects and operate under pressure. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies and standards. Risk Management: Identify risks to project success, develop mitigation strategies, monitor and manage risks and issues, and escalate as necessary. Industry Knowledge: Understand the Banking & Insurance sector landscape and emerging technologies; anticipate client needs and identify new opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or a related role within the Banking and/or Insurance industry. Proven experience managing large-scale system integration projects. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello). Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
