Bachelor's degree in an applicable Engineering field or equivalent.
* Significant professional experience in a commissioning or area manager role, including Completions and Commissioning of complex installations to effectively lead, supervise, and resolve execution issues daily.
* Management, influence, and communication skills to establish and communicate systems required for successful execution of commissioning and turnover scope.
* Strong contractual and technical experience, with a solid foundation in project completion management practices.
* Experience managing diverse technical, project, and operational personnel.
* Understanding of EPC, EPCM, Works Contractor Contracts related to Completions and Commissioning.

The incumbent will develop a structured delivery plan for the Facility Operator, starting early in the project and progressing through Pre-construction, Design/Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning, and Turnover phases.
This role is based in Italy with 40% travel within the EU and other EMEA countries.
Key job responsibilities
1. Verify KPIs throughout project activities and review regional project commissioning and turnover status periodically.
2. Develop and implement detailed execution plans for testing activities, including scheduling and budgeting, integrated with overall project plans.
3. Deploy electronic turnover databases and oversee document review following established processes.
4. Audit general contractors for compliance with project and industry requirements.
5. Collaborate with Construction Manager, RME, and Facility Operations to define and implement the project turnover philosophy.
6. Drive progress of construction and commissioning work, including documentation and deficiency management.
7. Lead final system walkdowns, manage punch list creation, and verify completion of punch items.
8. Coordinate with various groups for technical interface and issue resolution.
9. Prepare detailed area commissioning plans.
10. Ensure construction activities are complete before commissioning and establish safety procedures.
11. Monitor and communicate priority areas to ensure smooth commissioning.
12. Manage the commissioning team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and demobilization.
13. Oversee safe and timely execution of commissioning activities, integrating with project and operations.
14. Manage interfaces with Construction and Commissioning Managers and teams.
15. Coordinate with Design and RME to meet commissioning deliverables.
16. Ensure commissioning input into purchase orders to meet completion requirements.
17. Ensure receipt of all relevant documentation during construction and commissioning phases.
18. Coordinate vendor/supplier representatives during commissioning.
19. Develop and communicate material, resource, and external service requirements for commissioning.
20. Work with the Project Team and PMO to communicate commissioning requirements.
21. Lead daily and weekly progress review meetings.
