The Baker Hughes Internship is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or recent graduates. It offers hands‐on experience in a global energy company, focusing on process, systems, and technology that meet customer needs.
Interns participate in focused training, team meetings, project work, and presentations. They are supported by a buddy and manager, receive coaching and mentoring, and become familiar with our Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Responsibilities
* Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
* Learn and use internal software to assist with project tasks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and fellow interns, networking with global business leaders.
* Apply HS&E standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
* Assist with day‐to‐day manufacturing operations: monitoring equipment, overseeing processes, and ensuring production goals are met.
* Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes, inspecting products for defects and verifying they meet industry standards and company specifications.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
* Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
* Apply lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
* Prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain (HSE, Quality, Manufacturing), or Logistics.
* Maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent in your country).
* Fluent in oral and written English with effective communication skills.
* Legally eligible to work in the country of application without company sponsorship or time restriction.
