Project Land Manager
We are seeking a proactive and experienced professional to lead land scouting and origination efforts across Italy. This role requires close collaboration with the legal team to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site land scouting across various regions of Italy to identify suitable locations for BESS projects.
* Evaluate land viability using tools such as QGIS, Google Earth, and urbanistic constraints programs at the municipal and community levels.
* Assess environmental and urbanistic constraints according to Italian law, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
* Negotiate land agreements, including leases, purchases, surface rights, and easements.
* Collaborate closely with the legal department to finalize land agreements and close negotiations.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with local city councils and municipal stakeholders, ensuring smooth approval processes for land acquisitions.
* Engage with local communities and stakeholders to facilitate approval and align land agreements with project objectives.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in land scouting, or a related field within the renewable energy or real estate sectors.
* A strong understanding of environmental and urbanistic constraints under Italian law.
* Proficiency in GIS tools (QGIS, Google Earth) and urbanistic constraints programs at the municipal and community levels.
* Proven experience in negotiating land agreements, including leases, purchases, surface rights, and easements.
* A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with city councils, landowners, and other stakeholders.
* An extensive key contacts database across Italy, including external support in terms of lands.
* A willingness to travel regularly for on-site land assessments across Italy.
Work Environment:
The ideal candidate will be based in Italy and will require regular travel across the country for on-site land assessments.
