Production Associate, WW (fixed term for maternity cover)

For maternity cover (fixed‐term contract) we are seeking a talented Production Associate to support our Women's division in managing the manufacturing of Ralph Lauren luxury womenswear brands, primarily produced in Italy and Portugal. This role will be instrumental in managing fabric procurement and overseeing production processes.
Responsibilities
Support the team in all operations concerning vendors management – including purchase orders in the SAP system, costs updates, PO maintenance, system downloads, cost sheets downloads.
Work closely with vendors on all aspects of production, including initial planning, POs, production follow‐up, invoicing of finished goods and shipments; support the Vendor Compliance team on the new onboarding requests.
Update production deliveries and maintain the shared tracking tool (Airtable); work closely with NYO on all production‐related issues and requests.
Attend the weekly meetings with the team and the weekly call with NYO.
Work with manager on initial planning and fabric pre‐buys, ensuring fabrics are reserved within target date.
Attend fittings and line reviews to stay updated on any change in the line and work closely with vendors to update costs and consumptions so that fabric orders cover actual need.
Attend fabric risk assessment so that quality issues and callouts from sample making are addressed in advance; coordinate 3rd‐party fabric inspection facilities, RL Quality team and vendors to align on fabric quality expectations (defects vs inherent faultiness depending on the style).
Qualifications
2-3 years' experience in the textile fashion and apparel industry.
Fluent English and Italian, written and spoken.
Ability to manage proactively and reactively all the changes involved in the processes.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities based on tight deadlines and calendars.
Strong analytical skills.
Detail and accuracy oriented.
Good communication skills with internal and external partners.
Flexibility to work under pressure and strong sense of teamwork.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
