Job SummaryWe are looking for an FDIR System Engineer on behalf of and in support to our client for one of their locations in either Milan, Rome, Benevento or Turin, Italy.In this position, you will help define the satellite FDIR along the whole project lifecycle, including concept, detailed design, implementation, verification, and in-orbit operations.You will interact with the Lead system engineer and all the different disciplines as OBSW, Avionics, AOCS/GNC, Propulsion, Power, Thermal etc.The successful candidate has a deep and proven knowledge of missions, space systems, subsystems and equipment.Employment and Security Screening Notice The successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information provided at interview stage).Responsibilities
Carry out FDIR concept, design, consolidation and fine tuningContribute to system, satellite, avionic and SW architecturesContribute to software specificationContribute to user manualsIdentify and analyze spacecraft operational constraintsContribute to verification process and campaignParticipate in project technical and progress meetingsParticipate in system and equipment reviewsProvide support to in-orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning etc.)

Master's, PhD or equivalent education in a relevant fieldAt least 5 years of relevant work experience in the industryStrong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission and operationsExperience in various satellite engineering domains (eg. Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC etc.)Excellent sense of responsibilityStructured hands‐on work‐approachHighly self‐motivated and able to work autonomouslyExcellent problem‐solving skillsGood interpersonal skillsCustomer oriented thinking‐approachCandidates must be eligible to live and work in the EUFluency in English, both written and spoken
