Contract Logistics Distribution Trainee will be part of the Distribution team but will learn to collaborate with Flow Planners and Operation department to help the team managing properly carriers and transportation services. Under the supervision of the Contract Logistics Distribution Manager, her/his main goal will be to understand how to manage the scheduling and organization of all trucks arrivals/departures to guarantee a proper workflow of inbound and outbound departments. In addition, She/He will interact with the Distribution team members to update the customer with information about transportation needs. ** Your Responsibilities**: In line with customer service guidelines and direction, he/she will help the team executing daily deliveries of customer's goods in collaboration with flow planning stakeholders by using WMS (warehouse management system) He/She will shadow Distribution team members in developing a solid interaction with the customer by guaranteeing continuous alignment regarding shipment status, potential delays, transport service schedule or other information related to transport planning He/She will learn on how to provide and get information from/to Operation departments regarding workflow status, issues, delays and/or advances; whereupon adapt transports schedule by considering current workflow situations; on the other hand, learn to support operation with activities review based on transportation planning needs He/She will learn to work with a statistical and metric approach, monitor the status of transport services and help implement strategies to avoid critical delays In accordance with operation and other departments related to the local business, He/She will support on implementing and executing specific actions to solve transportation issues which could compromise the warehouse workflow and KPI’s achievement He/She will support in holding relationship with transport carriers’ partners based on daily interaction and timely communication to perform efficiently the transport planning strategy ** Your Skills and Experiences**: No proven work experience requested, on the other hand highly recommended interest in automated fulfilment operations or hub last-mile/delivery stations with strong preference given to eCommerce / Fashion / Retail field Required solid communication skills Attitude to read and create dashboard data representations with the aim of creating easy to understand ways to communicate information to different stakeholders Study/interest in metrics and data analysis **About Kuehne+Nagel** With over 79.000 employees at some 1,300 locations in over 100 countries, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is one of the world’s leading logistics companies.
