We are seeking a Buyer - Indirect Materials & Services to join our procurement team and manage regional category strategies in alignment with global objectives. The role is responsible for delivering savings, value creation, and risk mitigation while supporting business growth in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, select, and qualify new suppliers while optimizing the existing supplier portfolio
- Conduct ongoing procurement market analyses and monitor relevant indices
- Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction measures
- Participate in cross-departmental purchasing projects at the European level and actively contribute to the development of international activities
- Execute regional category spend and deliver financial targets (savings, rebates, payment terms etc.), value creation, and risk-mitigation targets with full accountability.
- Analysis and management of supplier data to support the identification and qualification of new suppliers aligned with the global strategy, assisting in their onboarding process and ensuring compliance with legal, quality, and technical requirements.
- Execute strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, risk mitigation and performance optimization.

Background
- Academic degree in a relevant field (business and/or engineering).
- 3-5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing
- Excellent German and English language skills
- Strong MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- High level of initiative and proactive working style
- Solution-oriented approach and sense of responsibility
- Occasional travel (trade fairs, supplier visits)
