Within the Group Chief Operating Office function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the Group Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation Unit.
The AI & Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing all organization-wide AI & data governance activities while maintaining and updating the internal regulatory governance framework for the Group, being the accountable function for supervising, steering, monitoring and supporting its implementation in tight cooperation with Group and Entities stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Performing constant monitoring of AI & Data governance standards, trends, and regulations, identifying potential impacts and opportunities for the Group
Implementing and operatively managing the enterprise-wide data governance framework (including policies, procedures, metrics, standards, tools and best practices) in line with external regulations and the latest technological advancements
Providing training and support to multiple Business Units and cross-functional teams on the management of the internal framework
Monitoring and assessing the application of the AI & Data governance framework across the entire Group, identifying improvement initiatives as needed
Developing and maintaining AI & Data governance documentation, including reports on data governance metrics and performance
Managing the framework for the specific Generali Head Office's Business Unit with operational use of AI & data governance tools
Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Management, Computer Science or any related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in AI or data governance with project management and oversight experience
Strong understanding of AI and data governance principles, practices, regulations (preferably IVASS Regulation 38 and AI Act), and business and technology issues
Practical experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Informatica, SAS, IBM)
Experience in writing and managing internal regulations
Good knowledge of data architecture and data modeling
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence techniques and technologies
Professional certifications in data governance or data management will be considered a plus
Experience in the insurance industry will be considered a plus
Consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication and culture
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and independently manage related meetings
Ability to understand legal requirements and translate them into strategic approaches
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with individuals with diverse mindsets
Proficiency in multitasking and managing dynamic deadlines
