We are seeking a Junior Science Communication and Dissemination Specialist to support the Regional Models and geo-Hydrological Impacts (REMHI) Division in communication, dissemination, and outreach activities related to climate change and societal interaction.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The web and science communication expert will support the REMHI Division, within the BAE research unit, collaborating closely with scientists to enhance communication and outreach efforts. Responsibilities include improving platform content (articles, web pages, infographics, multimedia), developing new content, and increasing accessibility and engagement.
The candidate will be based in Caserta at CMCC and work with the team managing the DataClime platform, contributing to educational resources to boost the visibility and impact of climate services.
We seek a versatile individual with a scientific background, web development skills, graphic design, and multimedia production experience, capable of conveying complex science in an engaging and accessible manner.
REQUIREMENTS
* Master’s degree in science, computer science, or science communication
* At least 5 years of experience in web development and science communication
* Experience with WordPress, Elementor PRO, WP Bakery
* Knowledge of HTML, CSS3, SASS, and willingness to learn new tools
* Experience collaborating with scientists
* Multimedia and multiplatform communication skills
* Proficiency with remote collaboration tools like GSuite
* Familiarity with Content Management Systems and media production tools
* Background in managing editorial content
* Fluency in English
* Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Attention to detail and analytical skills
* Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
* Position based in Caserta, Italy
* Initial 12-month contract starting July 2025
* Gross salary from €23,000 to €32,000 annually, depending on experience
* Welfare package, flexible working hours, support for immigration if needed
