Guest Experience Host / Receptionist - Malfa, Aeolian islands_ Principe di Salina Principe di Salina is a boutique hotel in Malfa, on the island of Salina (Aeolian Islands, Sicily). We thrive on differences and believe it is critical to our success. The role reports to Hotel Management / Ownership and works closely with all departments. Responsability Reservation Management - Manage reservations using PMS/booking tools and OTA platforms; update availability, rates, guest profiles and booking notes with strong attention to detail. - Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest information (preferences, allergies, arrival times, special occasions). - Collaborate with housekeeping, bar & restaurant, maintenance and management to ensure seamless coordination of guest services and arrivals. Customer Interaction - Provide information about hotel services, responding to inquiries and special requests with warmth, patience, discretion and a solution-oriented mindset. - Support check-in/check-out and front desk operations, ensuring a calm and welcoming atmosphere at all times. - Assist with concierge-style requests (transfers, boat tours, wine tastings, rentals, island recommendations), ensuring excellent follow-through and guest satisfaction. Sales and Upselling - Contribute to revenue growth by meeting or exceeding upselling targets, promoting hotel services and experiences in a natural, guest-first way. Requirments - Experience in hospitality reception / guest relations. - Boutique hotel or 5-star hotel experience is a strong plus. - Proficient with hotel reservation systems (PMS/booking engine) and OTA platforms (or strong ability to learn quickly). - Strong organizational skills for effective booking and guest management. - Collaborative mindset to work across departments for guest satisfaction. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, timing, and service consistency. - Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus. - Flexibility during peak operational periods. - No night shifts; flexible daytime schedule (mostly afternoons some mornings). - A naturally service-first attitude: calm, patient, humble, receptive to feedback, and extra caring.
