What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will provide expert regulatory guidance to ensure Avon's products comply with all relevant legislation across Southern Europe. You'll oversee compliance throughout the product lifecycle—from development to post-market surveillance—while advising on marketing claims, labeling, and ingredient restrictions. You'll also monitor environmental and sustainability regulations, advocate for the implementation of new legislations, and represent Avon in external industry associations. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll balance regulatory requirements with business opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities:
· A knowledgeable Regulatory Affairs Senior Specialist, capable of understanding and interpreting legislations related to Avon's products in Southern European markets including advertising, labelling/marking, claims and ingredient restrictions and any other business related horizontal or vertical regulations. This role is essential in guiding product development, labeling, and permissibility of marketing claims within the legal frameworks of related categories.
· Monitors the local implementation of EU environmental and sustainability-related regulations, particularly those concerning packaging. Coordinates with local departments to ensure accurate reporting and timely payment of related environmental taxes. Provides strategic regulatory advice to Southern Europe management, as well as other stakeholders, on marketing and supply chain plans—balancing regulatory risks with business opportunities. Ensures that potential business impacts are assessed and communicated appropriately.
· Responsible for working with the appropriate regional regulatory team members to ensure Avon's products sold, are compliant with appropriate legislation allowing them to be placed on the market in a timely way
· Responsible to make sure Cosmetovigilance process is followed and reported accurately and timely
· Representing Avon at external industrial Associations
Able to work independently, with the primary functional support structure based remotely.
