Experteer Overview As Senior Stress Engineer, you will ensure structural car components meet design and performance specs. You will lead structural analysis, validation, and service-life follow-up, driving continuous improvement of stress methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, support damage investigations, and provide trackside support during race weekends. Responsibilities Perform FEA and hand calculations from concept to part release with traceable reports
Coordinate and review work of other Stress Analysts
Support damage and defect investigations with root-cause analysis
Collaborate across departments to gather input data and ensure project alignment
Monitor in-service behavior, conduct structural validation, and manage service-life follow-up
Create test procedures and support validation activities with R&D Testing
Provide trackside support during race weekends or testing when needed
Develop and improve stress calculation and sizing methodologies
Maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
Work with project timelines and provide regular progress feedback
Qualifications Master in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
Strong knowledge of carbon and metal structures
Solid understanding of FEA theory
Extensive hands-on experience with FE pre-processing tools (HyperMesh/Optistruct, Abaqus)
Siemens NX experience is a plus
Knowledge of current manufacturing processes (CNC, DMLS) and materials science
Senior-level stress analysis experience
Previous F1 engineering experience
Willingness to travel up to 10–20% (up to one week per month)
