APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: October 5th, 2024 The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science. HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally. In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT’s technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community. HT is looking for a Grants Officer to join the Grants Office, within the Strategy & Scientific Affairs and Tech Transfer Department Your main tasks and responsibilities - Scouting for grants and other funding opportunities potentially relevant for HT scientists (e.g. calls for proposals from major Funding Agencies), including through regular monitoring of dedicated websites, and disseminating relevant information to HT scientists and administrators; - Supporting HT scientists in the preparation and submission of research and innovation project proposals in response to funding calls; - Supporting the management of externally funded projects; - Collecting data and reporting internally on HT’s grant-related activities; - Liasing with the relevant dedicated project managers for large collaborative projects, scientific project managers and administrators in HT Research Centres and Facilities, and other relevant HT departments (e.g. Finance, HR, Legal); - Assisting scientists and other HT colleagues in analyzing and resolving administrative, financial, and technical aspects during project writing, submission, evaluation, negotiation and management. Mandatory requirements - Master degree; - At least 3 years of experience in supporting the writing and management of research grants; - Excellent spoken and written English; - Proficiency in Microsoft Office package. Preferential requirements: - Previous experience in relations with research funding bodies at multiple levels; - Project Management certification. Organizational and social skills: - Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Positive and can-do attitude; - Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; - Ability to independently manage tasks while seeking support when needed; - Ability to predict issues in order to handle them quickly and proactively; - Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
