Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Junior General Engineer to support the assembly, testing, commissioning, and modification of automated packaging machines. The role is mainly based on‑site in Ostuni, with travel required for installations, demonstrations, and training activities. Structured technical training will be provided internationally. This position is ideal for a junior engineer with a strong mechanical background and a basic understanding of automation, who is eager to grow into a well‑rounded General Engineer role. Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of packaging machines Machine testing, demonstration, and factory acceptance su Support Modification of machines according to regulatory and client requirements Installation and commissioning at customer sites Troubleshooting mechanical and basic PLC/automation issues Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings Preparing technical documentation and reports Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) 0–3 years of experience (recent graduates are welcome) Basic understanding of automation and PLC systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Willingness to travel, including international training Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
