We are looking for an experienced Avionic System Engineer with a multidisciplinary background in the development of safety-critical avionic systems for civil or military aerospace platforms. The role involves system architecture definition, requirement management, and coordination of hardware and software compliance to industry standards such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254. A strong understanding of electromechanical systems, particularly BLDC motors, power electronics, and embedded control, is also required. Key Responsibilities Design and develop avionic systems per ARP4754A/ARP4761 Manage system-level requirements and allocate them to HW/SW Support safety assessments (FHA, PSSA, SSA) Ensure compliance with DO-254 (HW), DO-178C (SW), and DO-160 (environmental) Define and execute system integration, verification, and validation strategies Interface with certification bodies and prepare compliance documentation Participate in electromechanical system design and analysis: Control of BLDC motors for actuators Inverters, drivers, power conversion (DC/DC, AC/DC) Closed-loop control techniques (6-step, FOC) Performance and reliability optimization Required Qualifications Degree in Electronic, Electromechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering Proven experience with at least 5 years in a similar role and with ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-160, DO-178C, DO-254 Hands-on experience with: IBM DOORS or similar Embedded real-time systems C programming BLDC motor modeling/control, inverter design, power electronics Position sensors (resolver, encoder), safety and protection strategies Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills Fluent in English (spoken and written) Preferred Skills Experience with DAL A or B projects Familiarity with EASA/FAA certification Simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, SPICE) Knowledge of avionics buses: ARINC 429, ARINC 825, MIL-STD-1553, AFDX Basic knowledge of FPGA and avionics-grade microcontrollers Tools MS Office, MS Project, Matlab, Simulink, IBM DOORS Soft Skills Analytical mindset, team collaboration, customer focus, adaptability to innovation Why join us?
