PbNDT ENGINEER /b /ppbr/ppbDefinition of NDT Engineer /b /ppbr/ppThe NDT Engineer is the person that follows the non-destructive testing activities on pipelay off-shore projects. /ppbr/ppbTasks performed by NDT Engineer /b /ppbr/pulliOverall co-ordination of the NDE Phase of off-shore projects: /liliPreparation of NDT procedures and QC documents related to the project. /liliQualify NDT procedures, planning activities and tests in order to comply project program and expectations. Face Client representatives in coordination with Project Welding Coordinators. /liliPreparation of specifications of NDT equipment. /liliVerify the preparation of project consumables and equipment. Liaise with the construction team to ensure the set-up of the equipment required during production. /liliOrganisation of NDT Supervisors and Technicians when necessary for the performance of the work. /liliVerification and supervision of NDT activities during start up of the projects. /liliTransfer (and if requested advice for what necessary) to site or on board teams the procedure and project requirements. Verify that set-up and procedures are in line with project, contractual and Client requirements.
