Senior Instrumentation Specialist
Our team requires a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Specialist to contribute to the success of our projects. This role involves performing technical activities and delivering high-quality results that meet contractual requirements, ensuring timely completion and cost-effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical reference point in the instrumentation discipline, providing expertise in design, analysis, and problem-solving.
* Review and interpret technical documentation and requirements.
* Create and issue deliverables related to instrumentation, including design criteria, specifications, calculations, and data sheets.
* Analyze and calculate valve and instrument performance to determine key features.
* Assess vendor documentation and interact with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
* Participate in inspections, tests, and factory acceptance tests (FATs).
* Collaborate with engineers to review and check deliverables.
* Support the Chief Engineer in estimating material and erection quantities.
* Review tender documentation and prepare clarification requests during the bid phase.
* Work with the estimating team to create accurate quantity estimates.
* Prepare pre-calculation for quantity estimation purposes.
* Maintain knowledge of the latest design, materials, and workmanship trends in the field.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* A strong background in I&C engineering.
* Knowledge of major international codes, standards, and best practices (ISA, IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NFPA, API, etc.).
* Familiarity with ICSS (DCS/ESD/FGS) systems.
* Understanding of Building F&G systems.
* Knowledge of industrial TLC plant security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection).
* Knowledge of industrial TLC plant safety systems (PA/GA systems, Radio communications).
* Knowledge of industrial TLC plant communication systems (structural cabling, office networks, telephone systems).
* Knowledge of O&G, Power & Industrial Plant SCADA systems, network architecture, and integration.
* Knowledge of field instruments.
* Knowledge of instrument installation and hook-up.
* Knowledge of I&C field engineering (routing, etc).
* Knowledge of FIELD BUS.
* Knowledge of automation and control.
* Knowledge of smart plant instrumentation.
* At least 5 years of experience in I&C engineering in Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Energy EPC projects.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or High School Diploma.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
