 
        Ph3Senior Project Engineer /h3 pJoin UL Solutions as a Senior Project Engineer. /p h3Job Description /h3 ul liEnhance and advance a zero-incident safety culture and behavior. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. /li liManage project schedules to ensure all the projects are properly processed, including quotation, execution, reporting and invoicing. /li liIndependently determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and determine project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction. /li liSubcontractor inquiry, materials/equipment/personnel planning to meet job and project requirements. /li liPerform sample testing and measurements at UL’s laboratories. /li liProjects may include frequent travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites. Initiate communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services. /li liCommunicate with clients and laboratories to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements. /li liCommunicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports. /li liPerform data analysis on the obtained testing data. Prepare technical reports and present their results to customers. /li liMaintain daily work records with accuracy and integrity. Serve as Project Handler of record and sign as Reviewer of record as assigned. /li liDevelop UL requirements for testing products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment. Develop special test methods and test equipment. /li liCoordinate and/or perform File Reviews. /li liMay represent UL on technical committees and/or industry-related functions such as seminars and trade shows. /li liTrain and guide the other engineers to build competency in MV/HV cable qualification, quality assurance, and other lab testing programs. /li liPerforms other duties as directed. /li liWilling to travel over 25% to customer’s facilities and job site, including global travels. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liUniversity Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program. /li li5+ years of experience working with/for MV/HV or high-power laboratories, MV/HV cable manufacturers, power utilities involving MV/HV cable systems, or relevant fields. /li liStrong knowledge and experience in related industrial and international standards for MV/HV cable systems, including but not limited to ICEA/AEIC, IEEE, IEC, and CIGRE standards. /li liKnowledge in high voltage testing technologies on power cables including high voltage withstand test, impulse test, load cycle test, dielectric loss test, partial discharge measurement, etc. /liliFamiliarity with high voltage safety requirements in laboratories and manufacturer plants.
