Dimensional Quality Control Specialist
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the dimensional accuracy of mechanical components using precision instruments such as Structured Light Scanners and CMM machines.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Performing measurements and dimensional checks using measuring instruments and advanced software
* Detailed analysis and interpretation of 2D technical drawings
* Verifying dimensional and geometric tolerances
* Using CAD software and measuring tools (SolidWorks, PCDMIS, Atos/G-Inspect/Z-Inspect, calipers, micrometers…)
* Developing Python programs for automating measurement tasks and data analysis
* Preparing technical reports in both Italian and English
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role does not include supervision of other team members.
Education and/or Experience:
* High school diploma in Mechanical Engineering, ITS with a mechanical focus, Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent education/experience
* No prior experience in the role is required; on-the-job training will be provided
* English language proficiency required (B2/C1 level)
Skills:
Technical Skills:
* Knowledge of technical drawing and tolerances (datum, linear and geometric tolerances)
* Proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)
* Python programming skills (even a beginner level is acceptable, to be developed over time)
* Basic knowledge of measuring instruments
Soft Skills:
* Strong willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently
* Proactivity and attention to detail
* Pas sion for mechanics and metrology
* Good communication skills
Work Environment:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 17.30pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
Travel:
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
