Sharing our experience for a better blue tomorrow.PurposeRepresenting the company on board of an installation vessel or another marine spread, the OCM is accountable for the execution of the operations related to an installation project in line with SBM standards in terms of HSSE and quality, the installation vessel or FPSO HSSE management system, project requirements and engineering procedures.As the authorized decision maker on board, he/she represents SBM with the client and the vessel master or FPSO OIM, defending the company's interest at all times.He/she is responsible for managing the offshore project team (including subcontractors), coordinating with the marine or FPSO crew and for maintaining the company's assets to ensure readiness and performance on projects to sustain SBM's reputation as a trusted partner for projects.ResponsibilitiesYou lead the overall operations within the various disciplines: diving/ROV supervisor/bridge team/deck team/field engineer/construction/FPSO team/third parties.You oversee the offshore installation work planning and ensure the optimisation of the necessary resources for the project.You coordinate and ensure the synchronised execution of the task plan with the OCS as per procedure and arbitrate issues between different disciplines when necessary.You monitor, assess and report the project plan milestones, certificates and other deliverables to the installation project manager and the client.You ensure the vessel and the equipment's maintenance is executed, improving operability to minimise exposure to breakdown.You engage early with the installation project manager to assess, improve and approve project engineering procedures.You provide input to the vessel / installation operations manager so that the offshore project team has the required skills and expertise.You share best practices and develop initiatives to learn from current and past projects/vessel operations, improving company's know‐how.You continually assess and maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the team to upskill team members and create a culture that prioritises quality and effective HSSE.You plan and develop competencies and capacity of the teams on board.You assess and appraise the performance of your team and report it to the vessel / installation operations manager.EducationEngineering discipline degree or diploma from university or engineering college recommended.Experience> 10 years experience in offshore subsea and mooring installation works (oil & gas, renewable or other industries).5 years experience as offshore construction manager.Extensive knowledge of offshore construction techniques and FPSO mooring systems, including ROV, lifting, possibly shallow and deep diving.Proven track record of managing complex operations and leading teams in a high‐pressure environment.Proven track record of leading and implementing operational improvements and safety initiatives.Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards and best practices.SBM Offshore is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action employer.
