Job Description: Project Manager – Prime 2.0 (Italy L&R)
Innodata is seeking an experienced Italian Project Manager (based in Italy) to lead the Italy L&R Prime 2.0 rollout and oversee the transition of existing vendor-operated processes into the future Prime 2.0 operating model.
The Project Manager will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery activities as it relates to Italy's transition, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting workforce transition planning, and establishing the managed services framework required to sustain ongoing operations. This individual will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, legal subject matter experts, vendors, and technology teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of Prime 2.0.
Role Overview
Prime 2.0 is a strategic transformation initiative designed to modernize and automate legal and regulatory content workflows. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that legal research and content production processes are effectively transitioned from current-state operations into the new Prime 2.0 environment while maintaining business continuity and achieving program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reporting mechanisms.
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of the Italy L&R process transition from current vendor owned model to Innodata owned managed service model
- Coordinate activities across business, legal, vendor, operational, and technical teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Manage the transition of existing vendor-operated services and support the establishment of the future-state managed services model.
- Facilitate workforce transition planning, including knowledge transfer activities, role definition, onboarding strategies, and operational readiness planning.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand current business processes and future-state requirements.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies, escalating as appropriate.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and status reports for program leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution activities to ensure business requirements are met.
- Drive change management and communication efforts to facilitate stakeholder engagement and successful adoption of Prime
- 2.0.Ensure delivery milestones, quality standards, and business objectives are achieved throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8–10 years of project management experience, preferably leading complex transformation or system implementation initiatives.
- Legal background with strong knowledge of primary sources of law within the European region, particularly within legal publishing, legal research, or regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience working within publishing, legal, regulatory, or information services organizations.
- Strong background in vendor transition, outsourcing transformation, and managed services environments.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent project planning, organizational, and execution skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English, including the ability to facilitate workshops and navigate complex stakeholder discussions.
- Exceptional presentation skills, including the development and delivery of executive-level presentations to senior leadership.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives involving workflow automation or content management platforms.
- Previous involvement in managed services setup and operational transition planning.
- Experience supporting UAT coordination, business readiness activities, and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
