Product Safety Policy Lead, Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and ComplianceJob ID: 3155824 | Amazon Retail India Private LimitedThe Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team\'s charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. The Product Safety policy lead will own analysis and risk assessment activities required to formulate WW product safety polices. They will serve as our go-to subject matter expert for difficult questions regarding the optimal policies required to make scalable decisions related to product safety in product categories including but not limited to: electronics, batteries, and electrical products.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for conducting product safety risk assessments across a broad range of electrical productsMake high-judgement decisions regarding policies related to product safety in order to meet WW regulatory obligations and enhance customer safetyPerform analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify possible risk indicators to support policy decisionsCoordinate with Legal teams to integrate legal and safety analysis in support of key policy decisionsWork with a wide range of cross-functional teams to communicate Amazon\'s safety and compliance strategies to stakeholdersCommunicate regularly with leadership and ensure consistent reporting against commitmentsDrafting and presenting strategies to enhance risk management practices, including analysis of industry practiceBasic Qualifications6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced levelBachelor\'s degree or equivalentPreferred QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certificationExperience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalentMaster\'s degree or equivalentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
