Job Description: EHS Manager Huntsman is currently looking for an experienced EHS Manager with a strong background in the chemical industry, who will take the lead in our Environmental, Health and Safety strategy within our Modena assets. As the EHS Manager you will be accountable for all site related EHS activities, ensuring that all operations comply with relevant legislation and guidelines. In this challenging role you will take an active role in collaborating with manufacturing to continuously improve and implement best practices across the Modena site. As the EHS Manager, you will: - Be a member of the Modena site Management Team and be the RSPP (Responsible for Prevention and Protection Service). - Ensure that the site maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety and Process Safety legislation and best practices. - Support line management in implementing any changes through guidance and training of staff. - Promote and encourage safe attitudes and behaviors at all levels by supporting line management in planning and carrying out appropriate training and publicity. - Be the site resource for Process Safety studies, particularly Hazard Studies, Process Hazard Review, SIL Target Assessment, Facility Siting, Hazardous Area Classification and Fire Safety Management studies. - Manage the disposal of controlled waste to meet legal requirements at optimum cost and control the waste budget and ensure that contractors and facilities used for the disposal of wastes comply with legislation. - Support all areas of the site in the completion of risk assessment processes as part of an EHS advisory role. - Manage and follow up yearly EHS improvement plans and monitor the implementation in line with the site, and company strategy. - Ensure all Accidents, Incidents / Near Misses are reported, investigated and recorded, and that any recommendations are implemented. Skills & Experience Required: - University degree in Chemical Engineering or similar, with extensive previous working experience in an EHS role within a (petro)chemical manufacturing environment within Italy. - Formal training in EHS discipline (Diploma level) and knowledge of EHS regulations, legislation and systems (Responsible Care, OHSAS 18001: 2007, ISO 14001:2004) - Strong Process Safety Engineering and EHS Risk Management experience - Organic chemistry batch operations and, particularly with failure mechanisms of both equipment and people is a strong advantage. - Able to deal with ambiguity and priority setting, whilst being capable of motivating and inspiring others in behavioral safety - Fluent in English and Italian About Huntsman: LI-BT1 Additional Locations:
