Additionally, Jelly Belly, known world-wide for its confections, was acquired in November of 2023. /ph3Environmental Health Safety Supervisor /h3h3bWant to make an impact? /b /h3pThe primary function of the EHS Supervisor is to assist the EHS Manager and help build a safety culture supported by sustainable EHS programs. This position provides leadership and technical expertise to drive safety performance and ensure regulatory compliance. EHS Supervisor will serve as EHS department head in absence of EHS Manager and will supervise a Safety Specialist. /ph3bWays you will make a difference /b /h3pKnowledgeable of EPA and OSHA guidelines.br• Supervise all EHS hourly personnelbr• Participate in and perform (weekly/monthly/annual) environmental and safety physical inspections of the workplace (Safety Audits) and maintain the appropriate recordsbr• Manage EHS department budgetbr• Ensure regulatory compliance of Wastewater Treatment Operationbr• Lead accident incident/investigations and corrective action follow-up.br• Assist with procedure (JSAs, Lockout Tagout, Technician, etc.) development, review and updatingbr• Assist with the development and presentation of environmental, health and safety trainingbr• Lead appropriate employee engagement activities and floor presence activitiesbr• Assist with the development, review, follow-up and tracking of Safe Plans of Actionbr• Complete and submit regulatory reports as requiredbr• Conduct one-on-one employee contactsbr• Lead all EHS committees and conduct Environmental and Safety Meetings as necessarybr• Openly communicate with both hourly Management Leadership Teamsbr• Monitor safety equipment supplies, makes orders, sets up PO’s and processes Goods Receiptsbr• Support behavior based safety initiative by completing observations, entering data into tracking software and issuing trending reports as necessarybr• Create and track EHS-related work ordersbr• Upkeep of the Environmental Safety bulletin Boards /ph3bSkills that will make you successful /b /h3ulliThe role requires contact and communication with government agencies and Ferrara’s Corporate Safety Team /liliMust be comfortable wearing assorted personal protective equipment as required. /liliMust have a good working knowledge of the plant. /liliThis position may require limited travel and work coverage beyond the normal hours, shift and on weekends/holidays. /liliMust be able to climb stairs and ladders and safely work from elevated work surfaces. /liliAbility to work in hot and cold environments. /li /ulh3bExperiences that will support your success /b /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in engineering, business, chemistry, environmental or occupational health sciences and/or 5 years of related experience /liliMust be knowledgeable of safety and environmental regulations including but not limited to: air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste regulations /liliMust be able to work all shifts /liliDemonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels, including Plant Leadership Team, Front Line Leadership, employees and site personnel /liliPersonal computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and SAP applications for the creating of safety work orders, tracking of safety work orders, development of spread sheets to track safety records, and the development of safety trainings. /liliEffective communication skills (written and verbal) /liliShould possess strong leadership, training, problem solving, and decision making skills /liliDemonstrated interpersonal effectiveness and leadership skills /li /ulh3bWhat We Offer /b /h3pemAt Ferrara, we're proud to support our employees with comprehensive benefits that enhance health, financial wellness, and include paid time off (PTO).
