Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Senior IT Near Network Engineer for the Technology Team. Your role within the Network Automation function is to introduce flexibility, automation, and innovation into Fastweb's fixed and mobile networks through designing and developing a Network as a Service (NaaS) layer between business and network.
In a dynamic environment, you will enhance your technical skills, collaborate with various teams, and contribute directly to the company's growth and innovation.
Role Description
As a Senior IT Near Network Engineer in the Technology Team, your activities and responsibilities will include :
* Defining requirements for assigned technologies and architectures
* Developing strategies and plans for transforming the network and services towards NaaS
* Supporting and promoting Agile / DevOps methodologies for network application development, including GitOps frameworks (CI / CD, test automation, release engineering)
* Managing projects according to business and team priorities
* Designing and coordinating the development and evolution of solutions
* Planning and controlling project phases
* Managing partners and suppliers, monitoring quality, expertise, and process compliance
* Contributing to network evolution
* Scouting for new products and suppliers
* Coordinating internal and external resources
* Implementing Security and Privacy by Design guidelines in projects
* Degree in Computer Engineering or Telecommunications
* Knowledge of TMForum and MEF frameworks
* Experience in OSS, especially resource and service orchestration, zero-touch operation, and observability
* Knowledge of 5G core and access architectures, including FWA
* Knowledge of fixed access, backbone, and core architectures
* Experience in ICT systems engineering / development
* Project team management experience
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good relationship management with internal clients, suppliers, and other functions
* Networking and network security knowledge
