The ideal candidate is a SOC Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience performing similar responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the definition, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of SOC automations (use cases, playbooks, workflows, and integrations).
Work closely with SOC analysts to improve triage and incident response processes through automation and orchestration.
Manage, configure, and maintain monitoring agents (deployment, upgrades, troubleshooting, tuning, and health checks).
Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts (operational tasks, evidence collection, enrichment, and basic remediation).
Contribute to standard operating procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure effective monitoring coverage and high-quality alerting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in SOC / Security Operations (monitoring, alert handling, incident support, log analysis).
Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation (structured code, error handling, logging, modular approach).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure (core concepts and security/monitoring-related services).
Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals: detection & response, basic hardening, logging/telemetry, and threat concepts.
Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools and integrations (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, etc.).
Additional scripting (Python/Bash) and API integration experience.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with KQL or similar query languages for investigation (where applicable).
Certifications: AZ-900 (or in progress), SC-900, Security+, or equivalent.
Soft Skills
Proactive, automation-first mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for alerts, incidents, and monitoring issues.
Good communication and technical documentation skills.
