You will be given end-to-end responsibility for larger, highly technical and more complex “modules” within a project, and begin to develop specialized knowledge to help you solve clients’ problems. You will start to take on team lead responsibilities and demonstrate intellectual leadership. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3Building community /h3 ul liAdvising internal colleagues on core technical concepts and frameworks. /li liAdvising fellow architects on areas relevant to a deep area you have depth in. /li liDeveloping a network in the BCG technical community and leveraging it for our clients. /li /ul h3Developing Designing /h3 ul liAnalysing complex IT application landscapes. /li liAnalysing the status quo and optimisation of IT architectures. /li liIdentifying non‑trivial technology decisions facing a client. /li liStorytelling about architectural building blocks and their importance. /li liRoadmapping and business case development. /li /ul h3Controlling Managing /h3 ul liReviewing vendor proposals and/or in‑flight technical work. /li liIT project management and quality assurance. /li liOptimising application development processes. /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring /h3 ul liYou have from 10 to 15 years’ experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery or technology consulting. /li liYou show ability to bring unique tech perspectives from outside the consulting industry into BCG’s typical engagements, requiring consulting experience, a strategic mindset (hypothesis‑driven, 80/20 mindset, iterative approach, activist stance), and self‑management. /li liYou have leadership potential to transform the consulting industry in particular around interaction with designers, engineers, and PO’s. /li liYou are progressing thought leadership in deep tech. /li liYou bring new (but proven) methodologies or ways of working. /li liYou have a clear overview of common development methods and tools, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement. /li liYou are able to balance dogmatism and pragmatism to guide decision making; articulate trade‑offs and drive high‑impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial vs open‑source software. /li liYou have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et al.). /li liYou have a deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs asynchronous. /li liYou have a university degree with above‑average academic performance in a mathematical‑scientific field, information technology, or business administration. /li liYou are fluent in English and Italian. /li /ul h3Who You’ll Work With /h3 pWe guarantee constant new development incentives in an open and rewarding work environment.
