The accounting lead will have a key role in the EMEA Financial Shared Services structure supervising the RTR team functions executed in accordance with the Group Policies, local and US GAAP requirements, agreed service level agreements and key performance indicators. Responsibilities Lead, manage and motivate a team of accounting professionals Full overview and ownership of the Month End Closing, review of reporting packages and ensure deadlines are met Responsible to monitor SOX compliance from other departments by gathering the controls Preparation and / or review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline First point of contact for corporate and FP&A Approval of monthly and quarterly variances interacting with different departments as needed (PTP, OTC, FP&A) Full ownership on audits and first point of contact for auditors, responsible to make sure all the deliverables are met on time Responsible to monitor tax payment according to schedules provided by tax department Cash forecast actuals Escalation and resolution of issues Manage relationship with auditors (agreement on calendars, managing to get the engagement letters signed, point of escalation) Ensure Financial statements are presented on time Team management (holidays, performance reviews, backup organization, recurrent 1 to 1, interviews) Design people development plans Take ownership on special projects assigned on top of the daily activities Responding to a significant number of ad hoc queries, and analysis as required, prioritizing work effectively to ensure that these queries are responded to on a timely basis Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance Over 5 years of Accounting / Finance experience required Experience leading a team Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with complex models and large data sets Experience with SAP (JDE and HFM is a plus) Leading accounting role in FSS in large, listed, multinational company is desirable US GAAP and SOX experience Skills Strong team-building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people Demonstrable leadership skills, ability to engage, influence and build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups Demonstrable experience in working collaboratively and proactively to address emerging issues and delivering improvements Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages are an advantage) Appetite for delivering continuous improvement Eager to learn and embraces change Footer Element Solutions Inc group of companies are E-Verify Companies and provide reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in job applicant procedures.
