Tasks The Data Center Engineer PN02 will provide daily local/remote server support, receive incoming calls, troubleshoot problems, and document steps taken to resolve hardware, software, and application issues in a ticketing system. The candidate will also facilitate resolution of customer calls and engage with supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT support center. The Data Center Engineer PN02 provides Break & Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution services. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of IT support experience in Data Centre environments. Responsibilities and functions of the position Operations and management of Data Centre (Hosted service) Experience in Data Centre Infrastructure management Full lifecycle management from commissioning to decommissioning, maintenance, monitoring, and transformation Operational reviews & audits Manage and maintain Data Centre asset inventory Data Centre Site Monitoring Planned & Predictive Maintenance Remote Service Data Centre Emergency Response Vendor Management SLA and KPI Management Reporting via Dashboard & PowerPoint Ownership of issues and end-to-end problem-solving Execute daily operations activities as required Collaborate with IT teams on Data Centre projects Transition, Transformation, Decommissioning, and Projects Change Control (CAB) attendance & stakeholder engagement Demand and Capacity Management Management of Storage/SAN Switches/Tape Library/Network devices Fluent Italian language skills (English is optional) Availability to work shifts, including Saturdays On-call availability 24/7 Alternate work weeks Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat Requirements Minimum 2 years of IT sector experience, including Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory, MS Hyper-V, Backup Storage, Tape Library Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Flexible and adaptable, willing to work out of hours when needed Proficiency in Italian and English (colloquial and technical) Benefits Corporate welfare Electronic meal vouchers Personalized learning paths via e-Learning platforms We offer employment with a fixed-term contract of 1 year, with the possibility of permanent placement.
