OverviewDematic is looking for a MU Project Manager to support the Amazon business, responsible for managing individual projects through to final acceptance, ensuring they are delivered on time and in line with the customer's agreed specifications as well as Dematic's quality standards. The role will also oversee cross-country programs, ensuring alignment with Amazon's ways of working, while driving coordination and consistency across multiple sites. In addition, the MU Project Manager will monitor Project Management capacity and ensure effective resource planning and collaboration across locations.Responsibilities
Lead projects with full responsibility over budget, schedule, quality and EHS (Environment Health and Safety)Lead interdisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and quality within a given cost frameworkContact person for the customer during the entire project durationContract management including change and claims managementScheduling and controlControl of costs and cash flow with accurate forecasts of over and underspendingRisk management and project status reportingCoordinating the specification and procurement of equipment, products and services together with the relevant departmentsEnsure compliance with project management processes and policies
Qualifications
University degree (industrial engineer, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, business administration with a specialization in logistics) or a comparable qualificationExperience managing Amazon projects as Material Handling Equipment supplierIdeally project experience with strong cost, time and quality awarenessExperience in the logistics sector desirableExperience working in a live environment, effectively coordinating break-in activitiesGood communication skills, able to work across functional levels and geographical boundariesAbility to work in a team, change and problem-solving skills as well as an analytical approach to workConstructive conflict management, high level of personal responsibility and assertivenessWillingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 30%). Driving licenseGood written and spoken English and local language. Fluency in other languages is desirable
