STEM IT - Project Quality Manager
We are seeking a Project Quality Manager to report to the Project Quality and HSE Director of the Business Unit Projects (Powerlink, part of Prysmian Group). The position is based at our headquarters in Milan, Italy. The main responsibilities include planning and implementing quality activities across projects, coordinating and supervising Quality Assurance and Control activities, aligned with project complexity, scope (including design, manufacturing, and installation), company methods, contractual requirements, standards, and regulations.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist the Project Manager with client relations concerning Quality issues and contractual obligations.
* Develop Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, and Procedures, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards, involving internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Work with manufacturing plants to monitor product quality and manage customer relationships.
* Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors during tendering and execution phases, reviewing their quality plans and activities for compliance.
* Organize quality training for project teams and stakeholders.
* Conduct quality audits on processes, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Manage client quality audits, non-conformities, and complaints, ensuring effective resolution.
* Encourage continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practices.
* Contribute to project quality reports and data analysis, including performance indicators and lessons learned.
* Oversee contract reviews and project close-outs according to contractual guidelines.
Additionally, collaborate with the company’s Quality & HSE functions for reporting, tendering, and quality management activities.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in Quality Management within EPCI environments, including manufacturing, land site activities, or vessel operations.
* Master’s degree in Engineering.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9000 standards; auditing experience required. Lead auditor qualification is a plus. Familiarity with problem-solving, IEC standards, PMI, risk management, Lean Six Sigma (certification preferred).
* Leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
* People management, influencing, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* High proficiency in PC use.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
