Who We Are
The story of the Dallara Group began in 1972, when Engineer Giampaolo Dallara, after significant work experiences at Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, and De Tomaso, founded "Dallara Automobili da Competizione" in Varano de' Melegari, a small town near Parma.
Today, the Dallara Group is made up of over 850 Dallara People and is one of the leading companies in the design, development, and production of high-performance racing cars. Dallara is the sole supplier for the following championships: IndyCar, IndyNXT, Formula 2, Formula 3, EuroFormula, Formula E, and Super Formula. Additionally, it develops and manufactures some of the cars competing in the WEC and IMSA championships and provides consulting services in other series, including NASCAR.
Since the early 2000s, the Dallara Group has been offering specialized consulting and professional support to manufacturers and racing teams to develop both racing and road vehicles.
On November 16, 2016, the Dallara Stradale was unveiled—the first road car bearing the Dallara brand, embodying Engineer Dallara's dream and synthesizing nearly 50 years of innovation. Later, the Dallara EXP was developed, a track-only version of the Stradale, representing the essence of sporting spirit with extreme performance and FIA safety standards.
In recent years, the Dallara Group has also begun collaborating on the development of solutions for the aerospace sector.
The Role
As a
Process Engineer
, you will join the Process Engineering team within the Design & Research department of Dallara Automobili, a company of the Dallara Group specializing in design, pre-series production, and testing for the Group's three Business Units (Racing, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defence).
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring technical activities related to the analysis, setup, control, and approval of the production process for structural components made of composite materials (such as chassis and wings), primarily developed for the F1 motorsport sector.
You will oversee the entire production cycle with the goal of setting up and stabilizing processes and solving any issues, providing continuous support to production departments.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Proposing improvements to production processes;
* Analyzing and managing the testing of innovative technological solutions;
* Developing strategies aimed at product improvement.
Activities will be mainly carried out on-site, but occasional short trips within Italy to suppliers or clients may be required. You will work closely with all teams in the Design & Research department, the Program Management Office, Purchasing and Quality Control areas, all production departments, and Dallara Compositi - a Dallara Group company which is specialized in the industrialization and production of composite material components.
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields;
* At least 4 years of experience in similar roles within the F1 Motorsport sector;
* At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design and use of CAD software (Catia);
* Expertise in process design for composite material components;
* Knowledge of composite materials and current production technologies;
* Strong team-working skills;
* Good technical-operational aptitude.
