Join Vestas as a Documentation Engineer, playing a key role in improving logistics and handling processes for wind turbine blades across sites and factories. You will focus on modern documentation principles and driving standardization to ensure quick updates and reliable logistics support, enhancing overall business performance (SQDC). Responsibilities
Create and update documentation for production and logistics teams covering handling operations. Ensure up‑to‑date documentation is readily available where needed. Apply documented standards and gather feedback from production and logistics departments. Develop systems and structures that include checkpoints, tolerances, non‑conformance actions, PPE and other logistics information. Perform internal quality checks on documentation and maturity assessments. Inform stakeholders on documentation delivery schedules. Define process roadmaps for continuous improvement. Develop training materials for documentation usage. Collaborate with documentation specialists across teams and share lessons learned. Contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation and accountability. Leverage modern documentation systems such as process visibility tools, laser systems and other digital enablers. Investigate and resolve production issues using structured methods (5 Whys, fishbone diagrams). Apply continuous improvement principles with Lean and Kaizen to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Education
Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Certified Lean GB. Courses in technical writing and communication. Experience
Approximately 10 years in similar roles. Experience in process flow creation, writing and maintaining operational instructions (paper or digital), validating own work, knowledge or creation of control plans, participation in developing logistics documentation, work in data‑driven organizations, optimizing and standardizing production documentation using the tools mentioned above. Essential Skills
Writing and communication, simplifying complex information. Technical competence in logistics documentation covering transport and storage systems, production processes or software systems. Attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to spend time in production environment to understand and resolve issues. Data‑driven decision making. Use of 5 Whys, fishbone, FMEA for problem identification. Kaizen methodology for waste reduction and efficiency improvement. Active participation on cross‑functional product development projects.
