Description
On behalf of an important reality that operates in the space field, we are looking for a User Ground Segment System Engineer.
Background
• Master’s degree or comparable in Computer Engineering;
• Definition and justification of User Ground Segment architecture, from concept to detailed design phase;
• Definition and control of User Ground Segment technical interfaces, internal and external;
• Definition and control of User Ground Segment software technical budget and margins.
Skills
• Professional experience of at least five years in Ground Segment engineering projects for space systems, in Phase C/D as mandatory;
• Professional experience of at least five years in definition and design of S/S for EO systems for institutional and/or commercial customers;
• Strong competences in virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g. VMWare), including database virtualization;
• Knowledge of secure network architectures, vulnerability testing, threat modeling;
• Experience in the definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of DOORS;
• Proven capability to define of G/S design throughout the support of model-based methods, techniques and tools (e.g. SysML, UML);
• Sound knowledge of ground system engineering processes, and ground system software life cycles;
• Knowledge of relevant ECSS standards;
• Fluency in both spoken and written (Business) English, Italian skills are desirable.
Tasks
• Analysis of the Qualification data package provided by the UGS SW supplier;
• Support to the GS AIV team for the UGS Integration activities.
