Product Launch Engineer, RDPI Product Launch Job ID: | Amazon Development Centre Italy SRL
The role will work closely with internal partners including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project Management teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities through data analytics, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Voice of the Customer (VOC). Once opportunities have been identified, the role will support the development and implementation of improvements through activities including prototyping, lab testing, engineering validation, field testing, and rollout coordination across the WW Robotics network.
The role will develop technical depth in one or more engineering areas including mechanical systems, controls, robotics, and automation. The engineer will work with cross‑functional stakeholders to support a positive customer experience for Operations and Maintenance teams. Additionally, the role will provide feedback and operational insights to support the development and improvement of new products and systems.
Key Job Responsibilities The Product Launch Engineer supports RDPI solutions post‑deployment by resolving difficult systems problems across mechanical, controls, robotics, and automation domains. The engineer applies structured problem‑solving methodologies including 8D, DMAIC, RCA, and 4M to identify root causes, determine short‑term mitigations, and make implementation trade‑off decisions balancing time, quality, and resources.
The role delivers projects where requirements are generally defined but implementation details may not be fully defined. Responsibilities include supporting the improvement lifecycle through data analysis, prototyping, testing, solution development, field validation, documentation, and rollout support. The engineer works independently on assigned tasks while seeking direction as needed and escalating risks appropriately.
