Project Manager – Warehouse Fit-Out (Temperature Controlled)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead the full fit-out of a brand-new temperature-controlled distribution centre in Piacenza.
This is a critical programme supporting the launch of a pharmaceutical logistics operation in Italy. The warehouse facility (approximately 20,000 sqm) is in place but currently empty, the successful candidate will take ownership of delivering the full fit-out to operational readiness ahead of a planned September launch.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end fit-out of a temperature-controlled warehouse, ensuring delivery to high operational and compliance standards.
Acting as the central bridge between international stakeholders and local Italian delivery partners, you will drive planning, execution and on-site coordination to ensure successful mobilisation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and own a detailed project plan (building upon an existing high-level framework)
* Lead the full warehouse fit-out programme from planning through to launch
* Coordinate local Italian contractors and fit-out partners
* Manage timelines, budgets, risks and reporting
* Ensure temperature-controlled requirements are delivered to specification
* Act as liaison between international stakeholders and Italian delivery teams
* Maintain high governance, compliance and quality standards
* Drive the site to operational readiness for September launch
Required Experience
* Strong Project/Programme Management background
* Proven experience delivering warehouse fit-outs
* Experience working within temperature-controlled environments & fit-outs
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across countries
* Experience building detailed project plans from early-stage frameworks
* Fluent in Italian and English (essential)
Desirable
* Pharmaceutical or healthcare logistics experience
* Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) operations
* Experience delivering large-scale facilities (20,000+ sqm advantageous)
