The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is an established, world-class scientific research and experimentation facility that organizes and conducts scientific research and technology development centred on the maritime domain. It delivers innovative and field-tested science and technology (S&T) solutions to address defence and security needs of the Alliance.
Responsibilities:
* Building real-time dashboards, allocating costs accurately to teams/projects, and providing transparent reports.
* Identifying savings via resource rightsizing, managing commitments (RIs/Savings Plans), finding unused resources, and implementing automation.
* Developing budgets, monitoring spending against forecasts, and alerting on anomalies.
* Acting as a liaison between Finance, Engineering, and Operations, promoting cost awareness, and driving best practices.
* Ensuring compliance with financial policies and establishing accountability.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* A minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering discipline, or other relevant scientific discipline, and 2 years post-related experience.
* A minimum of 3 years of professional background in technology procurement, vendor management, and financial operations with experience in technical requirement analysis, and contract/SLA evaluation.
* Experience with data and services procurement in the defence domain (satellite imagery, ISR data, or similar specialized technical services) is highly valued
* Professional experience with project management tools, collaboration platforms, and documentation systems (e.g. Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.)
* Understanding of IT service delivery, operational workflows, and procurement processes
* Good level of spoken and written English
