PpbDescription /b /p pbThe opportunity /b /p pThe candidate will work in the research and development department of the global product group PCS (Power Conversion Systems) within the Hitachi Energy’s Grid Automation Business Unit. The RD team is responsible for the power electronics converters development control and automation logics relevant to Energy Storage, Photovoltaics, Hybrid solutions. /p pBeing part of a global team, you shall interact with the different stakeholders of the organization and Operational units worldwide. /p pYour focus shall be on the modelling of Power Conversion Systems product portfolio (power electronics converters and power plant controller), with focus on models’ development, testing validation in PSS/E simulation tool. /p pbHow you'll make an impact: /b /p ul lipYou shall leverage your extensive knowledge of modelling applied to Power Systems, Power Electronics and digital control techniques being responsible for the PSS/E models development of the PCS product portfolio. /p /li lipWorking with the RD senior management you shall participate in the definition and implementation the product modelling roadmap for PCS, being supporting the model delivery and rollout of the models including in the deliver grid impact studies for execution projects. /p /li lipAs part of the RD team you will have the opportunity to interact with Product Management, external consultants, and internal customers globally located. /p /li lipResponsible for the PSS/E’s simulation models development, testing and validation. /p /li lipResponsible for documentation generation, version tracking and quality checks. /p /li lipProvide training and support of PCS colleagues, customers, and consultants. /p /li /ul pbYour background: /b /p ul lipMaster’s degree, preferred in either Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with focus on Power System stability and Power Electronics domain. A PhD in the area of renewable energy grid integration with focus on modelling control aspects would be a plus. /p /li lipMinimum 5 years of experience in modelling and studying Power Systems and Power Electronics, using PSS/E.
